Those that get superiors in the Florida Federation of Music Clubs Festival in February have the chance to compete in the state convention. Those brave few that have decided to compete will be going to Jacksonville this Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th, at the University of North Florida. For a map and directions click here.

Here's a little bit more about the state competition from the FFMC website:
The FFMC Junior Convention is an annual event sponsored by the Florida Federation of Music Clubs, Inc. and is held following the District Festivals, usually in early May. This is a competitive event in which Juniors who were awarded a Superior in any event at the District Festival are eligible to compete in that event at the Florida state level. Winner and Honorable Mention Awards are possible in each class. First place Winners receive a trophy and those receiving Honorable Mention receive a ribbon. In addition, some of the events offer monetary scholarship awards.
